Madison Square Garden in New York was lit up last night as the 60th edition of the biggest music award show in the world, the Grammys took place.

One of the biggest winners of last night was singer Bruno Mars who cart away the most awards, closely followed by rapper Kendrick Lamar.

Bruno Mars took home the 3 major awards; Record of The Year, Song of the Year and Album of the Year as well as 3 awards from the R&B category totaling 6 awards.

And Kendrick Lamar killed in the Rap Category as he took home all four awards in the Rap category, which are; Best Rap Performance, Best Rap/Sung Performance, Best Rap Song & Best Album.

Another promise winner worthy of recognition was Alessia Cara who took home the Best New Act award edging out competition from Khalid, Lil Uzi Vert, Julia Michaels & SZA.

British singer Ed Sheeran also took home two awards in the Pop category; Best Pop Solo Performance for Shape Of You & Best Pop Album for Divide.

JAY-Z who had the most nominations with 8 nods ended up with no awards on the night.
