Just yesterday, punch reported that a court case had been filed against Nigerian singer Kiss Daniel by his former label, G-Worldwide Entertainment.

Today the singer has taken steps to let his fans know the true state of things by issuing an official statement before the situation goes any further.

The statement released by Kiss Daniel was signed by his lawyer T. Oluawaseye Lawal of L&A Legal Consultants. It states that the court refused to grant an injunction against Kiss Daniel, restraining him from recording, performing or using the stage name “Kiss Daniel”.

Subsequent to earlier statement released by G-Worldwide Entertainment which infer an existing injunction by Federal High Court sitting in Lagos State restraining Kiss Daniel of any activities pending the hearing and determination of the motion on notice filed in the lawsuit, the singer, through his lawyer, have debunked such claim.

In their official statement released through the singer verified twitter account, G-Worldwide Entertainment application for injunction restraining their client from performing, recording or using the stage name “Kiss Daniel” were denied and refused by the Federal High Court in Lagos, in other words, the earlier statement by Emperor Geezy’s record label is in part incorrect.

With Kiss Daniel set for a Benin concert tomorrow, this means he has nothing to worry about and the fans should make their way to the event because their favorite star will be right there to thrill them with performances of previous record and recently released single, “No Do” under new imprint, Flyboy INC.

The statement further clear every doubt of whether Kiss Daniel have the right to use the stage name and how right is he to terminate his ongoing contract with the estranged label “G-Worldwide”.
